Overall Score for Alpha Futures

Alpha Futures scored 80/100 because it offers a strong futures prop trading setup with one-step evaluations, clear account types and a wide futures platform range. Zero is the simplest route, with no activation fee, no evaluation consistency rule and one-day pass potential. Premium is the middle option, while Advanced is best for experienced futures traders who want cleaner funded account rules and a $15,000 max payout cap.

Best For

Alpha Futures is best for futures day traders who already understand contract sizing, CME session behaviour, drawdown control and position limits. If you trade products like ES, MES, NQ, MNQ, YM, RTY, CL, GC, ZN or micro futures, Alpha Futures is a well rated futures prop firm.

Not Ideal For

Alpha Futures is not ideal for traders who want forex, CFDs, MT4, MT5, stocks, options or spot crypto. It also will not work if you rely on holding positions overnight on simulated accounts, as sim trades need to be closed by 4:20pm EST.

Our Take on Alpha Futures

Alpha Futures scored 80/100 in our review. It is a futures prop firm offering one-step simulated evaluations across Zero, Premium and Advanced accounts. It sits within the wider Alpha trading ecosystem, but this review focuses on Alpha Futures as the futures-only prop trading product for traders who want CME market access, futures platforms, contract-based position limits and a route to profit payouts through a funded account.

Advanced is the strongest account type for experienced traders. The targets are higher and the monthly cost is higher, but the funded account rules are cleaner. There is no scaling plan, no Daily Loss Guard, no funded account reset fee, and the max payout is $15,000 across all Advanced account sizes.

Simulated Trading Environment

All Alpha Futures evaluation and funded accounts are simulated. Becoming funded is not guaranteed and you are not trading live capital. Alpha Prime is a separate live-style pathway covered later in this section.

Alpha Futures offers three main account types: Zero, Premium and Advanced. All three are one-step futures evaluations, but each account type has different pricing, activation fees, profit targets, drawdown limits, position limits and funded account rules.

There is only one way to fail an evaluation account: the account balance hits or exceeds the Maximum Loss Limit. From the evaluation process to the funded account stage, all futures trading is in a simulated environment.

1 Zero Account

Zero is Alpha Futures' no-activation-fee account. It is designed for traders who want a lower barrier to entry and a one-day pass route. The biggest benefit is cost clarity: you do not pass the evaluation and then pay a separate activation fee. The main limitation is that Zero has lower payout caps than Premium and Advanced once you reach the funded trader stage.

2 Premium Account

Premium is the middle account type. It gives traders a larger payout cap than Zero and lower monthly pricing than Advanced. Premium has two versions: Premium Standard (lower monthly fees plus a $149 activation fee) and Premium No Activation Fee (higher monthly fees, no activation fee). The account rules are the same across both Premium versions - the pricing route is the main difference.

Zero and Premium Scaling Plans

Zero and Premium funded accounts have scaling rules. Advanced funded accounts do not use a scaling plan.

  • Zero $25K does not use scaling and is capped at 1 contract. Zero $50K and $100K use scaling with listed maximum position sizes of 3 and 6 contracts.
  • Premium funded tables list maximum position sizes of 4 contracts on $50K, 8 on $100K and 12 on $150K.
  • These are maximum position sizes - traders should follow the funded account dashboard and scaling status before increasing size.

3 Advanced Account

Advanced is Alpha Futures' higher-tier account. It has higher monthly fees and higher profit targets than Premium, but the funded account rules are cleaner. There is no scaling plan, no Daily Loss Guard, no reset fee on funded accounts, and the max payout is $15,000 across all Advanced account sizes.

Alpha Futures Consistency Rules

Zero evaluations have no consistency rule, which is why Zero can be passed in one trading day if you hit the profit target and stay above the Maximum Loss Limit. Premium and Advanced evaluations use a 50% consistency rule - your largest trading day cannot be more than 50% of net profits made during the evaluation.

Zero funded accounts have a 40% consistency rule for payouts. No single trading day can be greater than or equal to 40% of net profits made since the last payout request. If one day is too large, the account is not breached, but the payout button stays unavailable until more trading brings the ratio back inside the limit. Premium and Advanced funded accounts have no consistency rule.

Premium Account SizeProfit TargetRecommended Largest Day
$50K$3,000$1,500 or less
$100K$6,000$3,000 or less
$150K$9,000$4,500 or less
Advanced Account SizeProfit TargetRecommended Largest Day
$50K$4,000$2,000 or less
$100K$8,000$4,000 or less
$150K$12,000$6,000 or less

Maximum Loss Limit

Alpha Futures uses fixed-dollar Maximum Loss Limits. This is the real risk boundary of the account. For example, a $100K Zero account has a $3,000 Maximum Loss Limit and a $100K Advanced account has a $3,500 Maximum Loss Limit. Position sizing should be based on the loss limit, not the headline account size. On evaluation accounts the only way to fail is for the balance to hit or exceed the Maximum Loss Limit - one oversized NQ or CL position can move quickly against the account.

Trading Rules

Alpha Futures' trading rules cover news trading, automated trading, scalping, hedging, group trading, account stacking and simulated-fill abuse. Discretionary futures strategies are fine. HFT, AI bots, reverse trading, max-leverage gambling, tick scalping or tactics designed to exploit simulated execution rather than trade CME futures realistically are not.

RuleDetails
News TradingNo restrictions on evaluations. Premium and Advanced funded accounts have no news trading restrictions. Zero funded accounts have a 2-minute no-entry window before and after high-impact news (ForexFactory red-folder events on the asset traded). First violation is a warning; later violations can void profits or breach the account.
Automated TradingHFT systems are restricted, especially those placing more than 100 trades per day. AI, bots and full automation are prohibited across all account types. Semi-automated trading is allowed only if the trader manually places, monitors and manages the trade. A custom indicator that gives buy or sell signals is acceptable; a hands-off day-night system is not.
Prohibited PracticesAll-or-nothing trading, max-leverage gambling, using the Daily Loss Guard as a stop loss, order book spamming, tick or micro-scalping, exploiting the absence of slippage, tight bracket fill abuse, account rolling, account stacking, reverse trading, hedging across accounts, group trading, and trading isolated fills in gapped or illiquid markets.
VPS & VPNVPS is allowed. VPN to hide or change your IP address is not allowed.
Sim Account HoldingSim accounts must have all trades closed by 4:20pm EST.

Verdict on Challenges and Rules

Alpha Futures has a clear firm structure focused on CME futures products, fixed-dollar drawdowns, max contract limits and futures trading platforms. Zero is the simplest route - no activation fee, no evaluation consistency rule, one-day pass potential, but lower payout caps and a 40% funded consistency rule. Premium sits in the middle with two pricing options and a $6,000 payout cap. Advanced is the strongest for experienced traders: higher targets and monthly cost, but cleaner funded account rules and a $15,000 payout cap. The rulebook is designed to block prop-firm gaming.

Commission Fees & Pricing

Alpha Futures uses monthly subscription pricing rather than one-off challenge fees. This matters because the real cost depends on how long you take to pass.

Account TypeMonthly FeesActivation FeeEvaluation ResetFunded Account Reset
Zero$79 to $239/mo$0$69 to $219$399 to $799
Premium Standard$79 to $239/mo$149$69 to $239$599 to $999
Premium No Activation Fee$159 to $379/mo$0$149 to $329Not separately listed
Advanced$139 to $419/mo$149$139 to $419None

AlphaTrader is listed as commission-free apart from regulatory fees, but you should still check platform, exchange, data and regulatory costs before choosing your setup, especially if you are using third-party futures platforms.

Verdict on Fees & Pricing

The real cost of Alpha Futures depends on how long the evaluation takes - monthly subscription pricing can add up. Zero is the cheapest entry route with no activation fee. Premium gives a clear choice between lower monthly + activation fee or higher monthly + no activation fee. Advanced sits at the top of the price ladder but unlocks the cleanest funded account rules and the $15,000 payout cap.

Financial Markets & Leverage

Alpha Futures provides access to CME futures products across equity indices, currencies, commodities, agriculture, metals, interest rates and crypto futures.

MetalsGC, MGC, SI, SIL, HG, MHG, PL
Interest RatesZT, ZF, ZN, ZB, UB, TN
Crypto FuturesMBT, MET

Alpha Futures does not use CFD-style leverage on these accounts. Risk is controlled through maximum position size, contract limits, Daily Loss Guard (where applicable) and the Maximum Loss Limit.

Verdict on Financial Markets

The CME futures lineup covers the major futures product families. Equity indices and energies are well represented, micros are available across most categories, and metals, ag and interest rate futures fill out the rest. Crypto futures are limited to MBT and MET. Risk is controlled by position size and Maximum Loss Limit rather than CFD-style leverage.

Trading Platforms

Alpha Futures offers seven futures trading platforms: AlphaTrader, WealthCharts, Quantower, Deepcharts, NinjaTrader, Tradovate and TradingView. This gives futures prop traders a mix of in-house risk tools, TradingView-style charting, order-flow features, mobile access, DOM tools and familiar third-party futures platforms.

PlatformBest Fit
AlphaTraderIn-house platform with TradingView charts, one-click trading, risk controls and built-in copier
WealthChartsTraders who want scanners, alerts, mobile access and trade copier support
QuantowerFutures traders who want order-flow tools, DOM and multi-panel layouts
DeepchartsOrder-flow traders who want X-ray charts and liquidity analysis
NinjaTraderFutures traders already familiar with NinjaTrader workflows
TradovateWeb-based futures traders who want modern futures access
TradingViewChart-first traders who prefer TradingView tools

AlphaTrader is the key platform in the Alpha Futures lineup. It includes TradingView charts, autoloads the front contract, supports one-click trading, and allows traders to drag stops and take profits. It also includes personal risk, daily loss, daily profit, manual lock settings and a built-in trade copier. The main limitation is automation - it is a better setup for discretionary and semi-systematic traders, not for fully automated bots running in the background.

Verdict on Trading Platforms

Seven futures platforms put Alpha Futures' platform range at the top of the prop industry. AlphaTrader is the standout for traders who want a clean futures workflow with risk controls and copier baked in, while NinjaTrader, Tradovate, Quantower, Deepcharts and WealthCharts give serious order-flow and execution choice. Full automation is not allowed - semi-automated discretionary trading is the right fit.

Payments & Profit Payout

Alpha Futures pays eligible traders profit shares on funded accounts. Zero and Advanced funded accounts pay a 90% profit split; Premium funded accounts use the same split structure but cap each individual payout at $6,000.

Payout rules depend on the account type. Zero has the clearest payout schedule, with withdrawals available after 5 winning days of $200 or more. Premium and Advanced funded accounts do not have a funded-stage consistency rule, but each account still has its own payout cap and funded account conditions.

Profit Payout Limits

Alpha Futures payout limits vary by account type and account size. Zero has the lowest payout caps, Premium has a $6,000 max payout cap across all account sizes, and Advanced has the highest payout cap at $15,000.

Account TypeMax Payout
Zero $25K$1,000

Advanced $50K$15,000
Advanced $100K$15,000
Advanced $150K$15,000

Payout processing takes 48 hours or less once eligibility is met.

Verdict on Payments & Profit Payout

Up to 90% profit split, 48-hour processing and clear per-account payout caps make the payout structure transparent. Zero is the cheapest entry point but caps payouts at $1K-$2.5K and adds the 40% funded consistency rule. Advanced is the top tier - higher monthly cost, but $15,000 per-payout cap and no funded consistency restriction.

Customer Service & Education

Alpha Futures provides a Help Center covering account rules, consistency, news trading, prohibited practices, country restrictions and Alpha Prime rules. The education offer is more rule-focused than strategy-heavy. Traders can understand how the programme works, but those who need deep futures trading training may still need outside education.

Rule pages covering account types, consistency, news, prohibited practices and country restrictions.

Live Chat & Email

Standard support channels for account and platform queries.

Discord Community

Alpha Prime

Alpha Prime is a separate next-step pathway for strong traders. It should be viewed as a bridge between retail prop trading and a more traditional proprietary trading environment. Alpha Prime is aimed at experienced retail prop traders who have built a track record and may benefit from mentoring, risk support, salary potential and a more professional trading setup.

Live traders start with a $10,000 static, non-trailing drawdown account. There is no consistency rule and no news trading restriction. The daily loss limit starts at $3,000 and scales at 30% of account balance as the account grows. Unlike sim accounts, Alpha Prime traders do not need to close trades by 4:20pm EST, so overnight holding is permitted with the right margin awareness.

Alpha Prime is worth mentioning, but it should not be the main reason to buy an Alpha Futures evaluation. Judge Alpha Futures first on its normal evaluation, funded account rules and payout structure.

Verdict on Customer Service & Education

The Help Center, Discord and live support are solid for rule and platform questions, and Alpha Prime adds a real next-step pathway. Education is more rule-focused than strategy-heavy - traders looking for full futures trading training will still want outside resources.

Trust & Community

Alpha Futures has a strong public review profile, with a Trustpilot score of 4.9/5 from 4,737 reviews. The firm is also clear that its standard evaluation and funded accounts are simulated. This matters because traders should understand that a funded account is not a normal live futures trading broker account.

The main risk is rule enforcement. Alpha Futures has a strict prohibited trading policy, and profits can be voided if traders use banned strategies. This is not necessarily a negative, but it means traders need to read the rules properly before buying an account.

Location Availability

Alpha Futures is available in more than 150 countries. Traders must be either a resident or citizen of a non-restricted country. Trading is also not permitted while visiting or travelling through a restricted country.

Restricted countries include Afghanistan, Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Burma/Myanmar, Chad, Côte d'Ivoire, Croatia, Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, East Timor, Guinea-Bissau, Ethiopia, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Jamaica, Jordan, Kenya, Kosovo, Laos, Lebanon, Lesotho, Libya, Malawi, Malaysia, Mali, Montenegro, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, North Korea, North Macedonia, Palestinian Territory, Pakistan, Philippines, Romania, Russia, Rwanda, Senegal, Serbia, Sierra Leone, Slovenia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan and Darfur, Syria, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Turkey, Ukraine, Venezuela, Vietnam, Yemen, and Zimbabwe.

Verdict on Trust & Community

A 4.9/5 Trustpilot rating from 4,737 reviews, clear simulated-account disclosure, 150+ country availability and a transparent Alpha Prime live-style route give Alpha Futures a strong trust profile. The strict prohibited-practices rulebook is a feature, not a bug - traders who read the rules before buying will have no surprises.

The score is held back by monthly subscription pricing, the $149 activation fee on Premium Standard and Advanced, lower Zero payout caps, and the 40% funded account consistency rule on Zero. Alpha Futures is also futures-only, so traders wanting CFDs, forex pairs, stocks, options, ICE or Eurex will need another prop firm.

Overall, Alpha Futures is worth considering for disciplined CME futures traders who want strong platform choice, clear account tiers and higher payout room on Advanced accounts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Alpha Futures is a futures prop firm offering one step simulated trading challenges. You can choose between Zero, Premium and Advanced accounts, trade CME futures products, and receive a profit share once you become qualified and reach the funded account stage. Alpha Futures sits within the wider Alpha trading brand, alongside Alpha Capital for CFD prop trading and Alpha Prime as a separate pathway for more experienced retail traders looking to move towards a more live, semi-professional trading setup.
Alpha Futures gives online traders access to a one step simulated futures evaluation process to work towards a funded account. You can buy a Zero, Premium or Advanced account and work through the evaluation step, pay the monthly fee, hit the profit target and avoid maximum loss limits. Once you pass, you continue in a simulated environment with a funded futures trading account and may request profit payouts if you meet the account rules.
You can have up to 5 Alpha Futures Premium or Zero Qualified Accounts, or up to 3 Advanced Qualified Accounts. Alpha Futures also lists the retired Standard account limit as 3 Qualified Accounts, and says any user with an active Standard or Advanced Qualified Account is limited to 3. Only one username per individual is permitted, and only one individual per household may use Alpha Futures.
Alpha Futures activation fees depend on the account type. Zero accounts have no activation fee at any stage. Premium Standard and Advanced accounts have a one-time $149 activation fee after passing. Premium also has a sub-account type with no activation fee but higher monthly pricing, starting from $159 per month instead of $79 per month.
Alpha Futures has no consistency rule on the Zero account during the evaluation step, while Premium and Advanced evaluations use a 50% consistency rule, meaning the largest trading day cannot be more than 50% of total evaluation profit. Zero funded accounts use a 40% consistency rule for payouts, and Premium and Advanced funded accounts have no consistency rule.
Alpha Futures profit payout processing takes 48 hours or less, but you need to meet the requirements first, which differ by futures funded account type. Zero payouts are available after 5 winning days of $200 or more, with a 40% consistency rule on funded accounts. Advanced accounts have 5 minimum funded stage trading days and a $15,000 max payout cap, while Premium accounts have a $6,000 max payout cap.
Alpha Futures offers a large range of futures trading platforms with AlphaTrader, WealthCharts, Quantower, Deepcharts, NinjaTrader, Tradovate and TradingView. AlphaTrader is the prop firm's proprietary platform and includes TradingView charts, front-contract autoloading, one-click trading, risk management controls, manual lock settings and an inbuilt trade copier. The futures prop trading platform access and range is one of the firm's strongest features.
Alpha Futures is an independent prop trading firm that is not associated with a forex or CFD broker in the same way as [Blueberry Funded](/reviews/blueberry-funded/) or [FundedNext](/reviews/fundednext/), with both brands also offering futures trading challenges. As with most prop firms, Alpha Futures accounts operate in a simulated environment, so you are not trading through a normal live brokerage account or broker-backed prop firm.
You can trade CME Group futures products on Alpha Futures across equity indices, currencies, commodities, agriculture, metals, interest rates and crypto futures. This includes products such as E-mini S&P 500, Micro E-mini S&P 500, Nasdaq futures, crude oil, micro crude oil, gold, Treasury note and bond futures, micro bitcoin and micro ether futures.
